The Department of Paraclinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Onderstepoort, of the University of Pretoria, is pleased to announce that the African Wildlife Diseases Diagnostics and Forensics Symposium, 2015, will take place from Monday, 16 November to Wednesday 18 November 2015, and the post conference workshop from 19 to 20 November 2015 at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort.
This symposium focuses on the forensic and diagnostic aspects of diseases of African wildlife. It will deal with the application of forensics within the context of the illegal international and local trade in animals and animal products, and the expanding wildlife industry and conservation in South Africa and other African countries. It will provide an update of diagnostic methods and techniques applicable to the broad scope of African mammals.
There is a post-congress, hands-on forensic workshop at the Faculty of Veterinary Science. This workshop is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of November 2015.
